Centre building is the site of the Bay Hotel where we had a Sunday evening  residency in the summer of 1977. It is flats now. Looking back it was a golden time. Some live Avalon tracks are floating around the net. Theres one at the foot of this page and others on HISTORY (pge 2)

Audley Road playpark. First names of

band members feature here behind odd looking baldy man

'The Chillingham' where we played our last pub gig. Paddy was probs due to leave about then anyhow but I think I hurried that up by telling him I was fed up 'doing this'. I never really settled for life in a band

Sue Dyer recalls Avalon at the Bay Hotel 1977 and there's her other writings for Rollmo Mag all about Prefab Sprout. She followed Paddys career after Avalon and has had several conversations with him (and other members of PS)  since those days. Plus at least one conversation with Tony Coyle.

Sign up to Tim Linnels SPROUTOLOGY web thing (for free) he has LOADS of live Avalon and, at the beginning of one of his (MARBLE HALL) rehearsal tapes, a recording of PMc asking me if the tape recorder is turned on.  I mutter 'yes' (or some such) and cement my place in rock n roll history! (right at the bottom of the pile)
